Billie Eilish Dominates the 2025 American Music Awards with 7 Wins as Music’s Biggest Stars Shine in Las Vegas
The glitz and glamour of the music world were on full display at the 2025 American Music Awards, broadcast live from the luxurious Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Hosted by the ever-charismatic Jennifer Lopez, the ceremony was a dazzling celebration of the year’s most influential artists, unforgettable performances, and emotional milestones.

Billie Eilish Leads the Night with a Historic Seven Wins
Though she couldn’t be there in person due to her ongoing world tour, Billie Eilish was undeniably the queen of the night. The alt-pop powerhouse swept the awards, taking home an incredible seven trophies, including some of the night’s most coveted honors: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (Hit Me Hard and Soft), Song of the Year (“Birds of a Feather”), Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Pop Album, and Favorite Pop Song.

Eilish’s emotionally raw sound and cinematic songwriting have made her one of the most compelling artists of her generation, and this AMA sweep cements her status as a global pop icon.

Genre Crossovers and Iconic Moments Define the Evening
The 2025 AMAs were also a testament to the genre-blending nature of today’s music scene. Beyoncé, continuing her foray into country music, took home Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album for Cowboy Carter. Her success marked a milestone moment, showcasing how genre boundaries continue to evolve in the modern era.

SZA continued her reign over R&B, winning Favorite Female R&B Artist and Favorite R&B Song (“Saturn”), while Post Malone surprised fans with victories in the country categories, including Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song for his collaboration with Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help.”

After a 15-year hiatus from AMA wins, Eminem made a triumphant return, collecting Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce). His win was met with widespread fanfare, marking a nostalgic yet powerful moment in the ceremony.

Fresh Faces and Fan Favorites Take the Stage
Rising star Gracie Abrams was named New Artist of the Year, a nod to her breakout success and growing fanbase. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars proved their collaborative magic with “Die With A Smile,” which won both Favorite Music Video and Collaboration of the Year.

International talent was also recognized, with Becky G winning Favorite Female Latin Artist, RM of BTS taking home Favorite K-Pop Artist, and Tyla earning the title of Favorite Afrobeats Artist. Doechii’s viral anthem “Anxiety” was named Social Song of the Year, highlighting the growing influence of social media in shaping musical success.

Legendary Honors for Janet Jackson and Rod Stewart
The AMAs also paid tribute to two music legends with powerful career-spanning tributes. Janet Jackson delivered a stunning medley of her greatest hits before receiving the Icon Award. In her moving acceptance speech, Jackson expressed humility and gratitude:

“I’m so grateful. I mean no disrespect, but I don’t consider myself an icon. My family and I simply had a deep love for music, dancing, and singing. Fame was just a result of our passion and hard work.”

Later in the night, Rod Stewart was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, following a rousing performance of his classic hit “Forever Young.” He was visibly emotional as five of his children surprised him onstage to present the award:

“I’m absolutely flabbergasted. I had no idea they were here,” Stewart said. “When I started singing back in the early ’60s, I did it out of sheer love for music—not to be rich or famous. And now, all these years later, I’m still here. It’s truly a dream.”

Celebrating Music’s Best: A Night to Remember
The 2025 American Music Awards weren’t just about trophies—they were a vibrant reflection of how music continues to evolve, unite cultures, and inspire generations. From powerhouse veterans to fresh newcomers, the night celebrated diversity, creativity, and the enduring power of sound.
